Discover or rediscover the art of watercolour painting in this 6 week course suitable for all levels.
In a friendly and encouraging atmosphere, you will learn all the fundamental watercolour techniques and put them to practise in six varied sessions, where you will explore different subjects inspired by nature.
All materials will be provided, as well as refreshments.
The classes will take place on Tuesday evenings from 6pm to 9pm. Starting on the 22nd of sept and ending on the 27th of October 2026.

Course Program
Week 1: Mountain landscapes
Students will practice the essential techniques of smooth washes and layering in this first class, whilst creating simple and beautiful mountainous landscape and skies.
Week 2: Night lights
In this class dedicated learning about contrast, colours and composition, students will paint night scenes with warm light escaping from illuminated windows.
Week 3: Fruits of Nature
This session will be about fun and colourful still life. Studying fruit and vegetables, students will learn key skills in simplification, light and shadow and creating dimension.
Week 4: butterflies & botanicals
Practising detail, the use of masking fluid and simplified background, students will examine plants and butterflies in detail, and bring them to life on paper
Week 5: Animals
In this class dedicated to the beautiful barn owl and other wild creatures, students will learn about observing and replicating animal anatomy, painting fur or feathers and bringing life into a painting.
Week 6: Trees & forests
In this final class, students will tackle the challenge of trees, and paint layered woodland scenaries and majestic trees.
